Birthstones are gemstones associated with the month of one’s birth. Adorning yourself with your birthstone is said to bring happiness and health your way. In our ongoing series, today we will spotlight the birthstones for Spring and what are they known for.

Aquamarine is the birthstone for March. Aquamarine comes in such beautiful shades of pale to deep blues. Sometimes it almost has a hint of green. It is no surprise it is often associated with the sea because the watery blues definitely transport you right there, floating in the crystal ocean waters, the sun on your face, the salty air enveloping you. In fact, long ago, Aquamarine was used by sailors as a stone of good luck while on the waters. It was a symbol of protection and fearlessness, trusting, and letting go. Spiritually this stone can be used for cleansing and purifying. Clearing the mind and body, easing into trust and relaxation, fueled by the tranquility of the calm that the sea evokes. Still today it is said to bring happiness and protection while traveling near water. Adorning yourself with Aquamarine is sure to evoke feelings of serenity and peace!
