Every day you get to wake up to a new version of yourself or re-boot the old one. You can explore life’s mysteries with curiosity or maintain your repeating loops and beliefs.
Somewhere between these two options is a middle ground where both play out in the ebb and flow of life and the magnitude of our transformation is determined by how much effort we are willing to put in to being uncomfortable, disciplined and devoted to change and/or elevating ourselves beyond our current circumstances.
No matter where you are on this spectrum, we all have an opportunity to shift our lives through our awareness, beliefs and actions.
It is important to remember, who you are today may not be who you are tomorrow. The article I write today may be totally different if written tomorrow as life experiences, memories (or false memories), and thoughts are influencing us and shifting our perspective, mood and behaviors. As such, remember that life is an evolution and everyone has valuable input, makes mistakes and is a state of flux, of change.
As I’ve witnessed my own evolution, I’ve noticed people automatically assume beliefs I held 10, 5, or 1 year ago are the same beliefs I hold now but this assumption is often false. While some beliefs have strengthened, some have, and are, continuously shifting and being molded as I find myself being exposed to new information.
So be who you are now and take someone else for who they are showing you they are now, not a past version. While most people are creatures of habit and patterns that get stuck in loops and choice in one way or another that keep us on re-boot, be mindful that many are ever changing, un-learning and becoming better versions of themselves every day.
