Here it is, a FULL SUPER STRAWBERRY MOON! Today is a special treat because we have a full moon that will be 2022’s brightest and biggest supermoon. This will be the second supermoon of 2022. A supermoon happens when the moon’s orbit is closest to the Earth, making the moon appear larger and brighter and possibly a gorgeous red-ish, orange-ish hue! A moon usually appears reddish when it it’s close to the horizon because the light rays must pass through the densest layers of atmosphere.
