Sure, we can drink lemon juice and cayenne, but if we’re holding onto grudges, we’re not really detoxing at a level that will prevent toxins from building back up again. Forgiveness is one of the most potent healing agents, yet one we tend to overlook. The power of forgiveness lies in healing and releasing us from the bondage of a long-held grudge. People who we haven’t forgiven are not limited in their ability to move on—rather, we are. In other words, we’re not punishing anyone by withholding forgiveness; we’re only keeping good things in life from reaching us.
