Palmistry, additionally called chiromancy, or Chirology, is that of the practice of fortune-telling through the study or reading lineaments of the palm. Chirology translates as "hand divination.” Chirognomy involves judging character by the form and appearance of the hand. Dermatoglyphics or "skin carving" is the study of the skin ridges of the hand and of fingerprints. According to this system of divination, it is essential in palmistry that you and your life are simply responsive to the dimensions, shape of your hands, fingers, hand lines, their lengths, how and where they cross one another, and where they break or end. Fingerprints patterns, fingernails shapes and wrist lines are included when reading palms. Palmistry is an ancient art intended for curious minds to inspire reading your own palm for self-reflection and reading the palm of another to form an intimate connection. The origins of palmistry are mysteriously unknown, but it's believed that palmistry began in ancient India, spreading throughout Europe, China, Tibet, Persia, Egypt, Greece, Sumeria, Canaan, Babylonia and ancient Israel. During the dark centuries, palmistry was forbidden because it was considered a type of witchcraft and fortunetelling. During the late 19th century, palmistry became popular again. Hand Analysis is the more modern form or term used for palmistry today.
How to Read Palms

Dominant Hand
First we'll start with the variations on the meaning of your dominant hand versus your non-dominant hand with palmistry. Hand Shape
There are four basic hand shapes within palmistry. The scale and shape of the palms represent either earth, fire, air or water.
Earth Hands: Square palm, short fingers represents being right down to earth, practical, grounded, and realistic. The hands feel firm and solid.
Fire Hands: Irregular or long palm, short fingers represents being natural-born leaders, risk takers, and adventurers, highly creative and constantly in movement.
Air Hands: Palms are square and taller than they're wide, with long fingers and prominent knuckles. This hand represents a resourceful, articulate, rational, intellectual, analytical, adaptable, and curious person.
Water Hands: Described as more narrow long palms, long fingers, soft to the touch, and clammy. This type of hand represents a sensitive, dreamy creative, imaginative, receptive, and intuitive person
Fingers
Long fingers signify a detail-oriented person who thinks things through completely and has a tendency to be critical of small details. Short fingers signify a big-picture person. They step back and look at things from a universal perspective.
Jupiter finger or the forefinger represents leadership, ambition, and self-confidence. Saturn is the middle finger representing balance, justice, the law, responsibility, and soul-searching. Sun or the ring finger represents how you shine. It tells about your courage and charisma. Mercury or pinkie finger represents confidence, strength and connection. The thumb represents logic, thinking and will power. The angles of the thumb and the size and shape reveal your character.
